Konichiwa! Japan is Shinji rarenai!

That is supposed to mean "Hi! Japan is incredible." Disclaimer: If I accidentally translated wrong and put something untoward up, Sumimasen, indeed! Seriously, Japan is fantastic. Last night me and Barraco, Koritz, and Nicky went to see the Parrots, AKA the Japanese Beatles at a club in Tokyo called Abby Road and we had a blast. I think we all rebounded quite well for such a long journey--I was 14 hours on the plane and two more to reach the hotel in Tokyo. We head up to Fuji Rock Fest tomorrow and I am very psyched. Going to try and catch the 10 minutes of Wilco that don't overlap our show. ;)

Japan is a wonderful country with loads of really nice people and a rather large number of Deadheads. They absolutely love the music and are really appreciative of the bands who perform there. When I was there in 2001 with the Zen Tricksters, we toured for a week and just had a terrific time. This time it's awesome to be playing such a large festival with DSO and sharing the bill with all those cool bands. I have to remember to take a lot of photos--it's really a beautiful place.

More when I return. Sionara for now.

  1. i thought shinjirarenai is supposed to have a negative meaning.

if you wanted to give a positive meaning you have to say 'subarashii'
